THIS SUNDAY AT NORTH CROSS
What is truth? Ask any random individual that question and you would probably get a number of different answers. The only absolute truth that has authority over us, whether we choose to accept it or not, is the word of God and what He has declared. So what happens when we are tempted with a "truth" that comes from God himself? Well, God can't contradict Himself, so in situations like these, and in any such moments, we have to be able to discern what we are actually facing: a half-truth. Half-truths are a detriment to a believer's spiritual walk because we allow the temptation of what we are being told, although true, to usurp God's ultimate authority over us and He requires from us will always be the true litmus test for that Truth.
Join us Sunday morning, as we continue our Lenten series, following alongside Jesus during His time of temptation in the desert, as we discover His journey is no different than ours, one that pushes us to seek total dependence on the Father.
